Former Saints cornerback Tracy Porter, best known for his game-sealing pick-six in Super Bowl XLIV, was arrested Tuesday night on battery and drug possession charges, according to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office.
Porter is accused of grabbing a woman by the face and neck in an argument five days earlier. The unnamed woman, who WBRZ says is his girlfriend of two years, had bruises consistent with her account. Porter admitted to grabbing the woman but said he was acting in self defense.
Officers also found marijuana and prescription painkillers in Porter’s car when he was arrested.
