NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell wrote a letter to Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf casting doubt on the city's chances of keeping the Oakland Raiders, the East Bay Times' David DeBolt reported Saturday.
In a podcast with The MMQB's Peter King (h/t the San Jose Mercury News' Jon Becker), Goodell confirmed he spoke with Schaaf on Wednesday about a plan for the Raiders to stay in their current home.
However, DeBolt obtained a copy of the letter Goodell wrote to Schaaf in which he argued Oakland's current stadium proposal isn't "clear and specific, actionable in a reasonable time frame and free of major contingencies.
