Seahawks wide receiver Ricardo Lockette sustained ligament damage in his neck Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys following a jarring hit by safety Jeff Heath.
The good news, according to the Seahawks, is that he has "full motion and feeling in all extremities." He will undergo surgery on Monday afternoon at Baylor University Medical Center to stabilize the condition. The bad news is that his future in the NFL is in jeopardy.
When asked if Lockette might play again this season on KIRO-AM AM Seattle, head coach Pete Carroll almost immediately shot it down, leaving many to wonder if it's not just this season Carroll is referring to.
