Report: Reggie Wayne signs one-year deal with Patriots

The heated rivalry between the Patriots and Colts got even more interesting on Monday when New England signed Reggie Wayne to a one-year contract.

Adam Schefter, who reported that Wayne was in Foxboro taking a physical over the weekend, was first with the news.

Wayne, 36, was relatively productive last season coming off a torn tricep injury that forced him to miss nine games in 2013. He caught 64 balls for 779 yards and has been adamant that he wants to play another season despite being released by the Colts.

The Patriots have been dealing with a rash of injuries at the wide receiver position this offseason.
