Pittsburgh Steelers tight ends Ladarius Green has not been able to practice with the team due to recurring headaches, reports Aditi Kinkhabwala of NFL.com. Green’s absence is reportedly not do to his surgically-repaired ankle.
The Steelers signed Green as a free agent this past offseason. He agreed to a four-year, $20 million contract in March. His ankle injury kept him out of spring practices and he remains on the physically unable to perform list.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin has not directly addressed the situation. Although the cause of the headaches is unknown, Green did sustain two concussions in the span of 11 days last season, which were his second and third in less than a year.
