Giants kicker Josh Brown will not appeal the NFL’s decision to place him on the commissioner’s exempt list, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Brown was placed on the list Friday and had three days to file an appeal.
The decision to place Brown on the list was made after the release of police records in which Brown admitted to abusing his ex-wife.
“I have physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally been a repulsive man,” Brown wrote in a journal entry. “I have abused my wife.”

The commissioner’s exempt list is a form of paid leave that has previously been used in the cases of Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy.
