Rex Ryan's opinion of himself as a candidate for the New York Jets isn't shared by people around the NFL, according to The Athletic's Zack Rosenblatt.
Rosenblatt reported that Ryan isn't expected to get interviews with any other team and that "it would be a major surprise" if the Jets hired him.
Ryan is reportedly interviewing with New York on Tuesday and fans likely heard some of his pitch during an appearance on ESPN New York's DiPietro and Rothenberg Show. He said he's "the best guy, and it ain't close," arguing he's uniquely suited to handle all of the challenges the Jets and the New York market would present.
