Report: Jerry Jones prefers Inglewood bid to Carson in race to L.A.

The league has done a good job of keeping the lid on most of the Los Angeles talk after last week’s owners meeting in Chicago, but it seems one of them has a preference.

According to Nick Canepa of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones spoke during the meeting, and indicated a preference toward Rams owner Stan Kroneke’s proposed Inglewood stadium over the shared Chargers-Raiders plan in Carson.

The report also suggests the Carson bid is “on life support,” which could throw an entirely new wrinkle in this saga.

Much of the rest of Canepa’s column centers on whether that preference for Inglewood could mean the Chargers have a better chance of staying put in San Diego, which is an appropriate angle for a local newspaper.
