Report: Jason Witten Received Offer from 2nd Network; Cowboys Hopeful He Plays

There is reportedly another factor to consider as tight end Jason Witten contemplates retiring before the 2018 NFL season.

According to Chris Mortensen of ESPN, the Dallas Cowboys still hope Witten suits up this year even though he is thinking of joining the Monday Night Football broadcast team. However, Mortensen pointed out "a source says another network has made a last-minute 'interesting' proposal that is also being considered."

This comes after Mortensen reported Friday that Witten was planning on calling it quits on his NFL career to join Monday Night Football but still had a meeting scheduled with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
