Free agent cornerback Jarrett Bush was among the four unsigned players suspended by the league, and now we know why.
According to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com, Bush’s suspension was for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
There was no specification in the initial reports that Bush and three other players had been suspended.
If Bush signs with a team, he wouldn’t be eligible to play until Week Five (though he could ostensibly go through training camp and the preseason).
Bush had been arrested but not charged with public intoxication earlier this offseason at a place called Evelyn’s Big Italian Restaurant, but this suspension is apparently unrelated.
