Report: Eagles tackle Lane Johnson suspended pending appeal

The NFL suspended Philadelphia Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson pending an appeal for violation of the league's performance enhancing drug policy, reports The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane.

According to the report, Johnson will play in Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Eagles have a bye the next week, with Johnson's appeal hearing is scheduled for Oct. 4.

Johnson is reportedly facing a 10-game ban after saying he took an approved amino acid, but still came up testing positive for a banned drug. Johnson will be suspended if an arbitrator upholds the suspension.
