Report: Dez Bryant, Cowboys renew contract talks

With just 18 days remaining prior to the July 15 deadline, the Dallas Cowboys and Dez Bryant are back at the negotiating table.

During the past week, the Cowboys had their first face-to-face meeting with Bryant's agent in nearly four months, ESPN.com's Todd Archer reported.

This is the first tangible sign of progress on the contract front since last summer, when it appeared that the sides were close to a deal.

Bryant has threatened to sit out the season opener, while executive Vice President Stephen Jones acknowledged two weeks ago there is "just too big of a divide" in contract demands.
