The Cardinals saw John Carlson retire this offseason and one of their options to replace him on the roster may be a player who seemingly retired after the 2012 season.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Cardinals have expressed interest in Chris Cooley. Cooley last played for the Redskins in 2012 and has been working in broadcasting the last few years, although he’s been talking about reviving his playing career.
Cooley said recently that he thought he would be no worse than the third tight end on a team if he returned to action and said that he’s spoken to an “out-of-town NFL offensive coordinator” about a comeback.
