Report: Atlanta Falcons All-Pro C Alex Mack will play Super Bowl with fracured fibula

The NFL's most diverse offense could be severely limited in Super Bowl 51.

Alex Mack, the Falcons' second-team All-Pro center and arguably the best signing by any team last offseason, will battle Sunday through a fractured left fibula he sustained in the NFC title game 14 days ago, according to ESPN. The report indicates Mack's injury, if it occurred during the regular season, would typically require a 6-8 week recovery period.

Mack missed just one snap after suffering the injury in the second quarter vs. Green Bay.

Mack's arrival preceded Atlanta's historic offensive season, wherein the Falcons finished first in scoring, second in yards and fifth in rushing.
