The Colts defensive line looks like it will be missing a key player for a while.
Earlier this week, word was that defensive tackle Arthur Jones would be seeing an ankle specialist after having an MRI to determine what was wrong after he suffered an injury against the Rams. The word wasn’t what either Jones or the Colts hoped to hear.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Jones has torn ligaments in the ankle that will need to be surgically repaired. Rapoport adds that there may also be joint damage, which will be determined during the operation, and that the best case scenario for Jones this season may be a spot on injured reserve with the designation to return.
