Much of the news about the 49ers this year has been concerned with people leaving the team, but this week will reportedly see the return of a player who has stayed away from the team’s practices this offseason.
Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee reports that offensive lineman Alex Boone will be in attendance when the team opens their mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. Boone has missed all of the team’s voluntary work for the second straight year and is thought to want more money after reworking his deal, which expires after the 2015 season, before reporting last season.
