Aldon Smith was released by the San Francisco 49ers on Friday in the wake of his latest run-in with the law, and the early belief is that he may have to wait until 2016 to find work again.
Shortly after the Niners cut Smith, one NFL general manager reportedly told Bleacher Report’s Mike Freeman that no team is going to take a chance on signing the 25-year-old for quite some time.
GM continued: "We won't see Aldon Smith in an NFL uniform until next season."
