Former NFL linebacker Aldon Smith reportedly showed up to the San Francisco Sheriff's Department with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.40 and was arrested Friday for a violation of his parole.
Evan Sernoffsky of the San Francisco Chronicle reported the news ahead of Smith's court date Wednesday.
A BAC of 0.40 is five times the legal driving limit in the state of California and is at the beginning stages of causing severe internal damage. It is considered above the level of impairment of surgical anesthesia.
