In 2015 Jordan Reed set a Washington Redskins record with 952 receiving yards by a tight end. In 2016 he got paid.
The Redskins announced they signed Reed to a multi-year contract extension. NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reports the deal is for five years, $50 million, per a source close to the player. Reed has one year left on his old deal.
In addition to his 952 yards receiving, Reed caught 87 passed and 11 touchdowns in 14 games in 2015.
