Rashad Jennings Was Told Not to Score During Controversial Drive vs. Cowboys

The New York Giants strange handling of their final possession against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night has taken another interesting turn, as running back Rashad Jennings revealed after the game that he was told not to score down by the goal line.

“As a running back, it’s always hard when they tell you not to score," Jennings told Dan Graziano of ESPN (via Eric Edholm of Shutdown Corner), after the game.

Jennings reiterated those comments on Monday, per Graziano, noting the coaches told him, "Rashad, don't score."

That decision is a fascinating one.
