NFL Offseason - The Los Angeles Rams have agreed to release linebacker Bobby Wagner upon the start of the new league year, according to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Wagner signed a five-year, $50 million contract with the Rams in April last year. While the deal had an average cap hit of $12 million between 2023 and 2026 if rostered, Wagner's deal had just $3.5 million in guaranteed money remaining, all allocated for 2023. According to OverTheCap, releasing Wagner frees up $5 million of cap space this year with a dead cap hit of $7.
