Antonio Brown’s long strange trip in Oakland is now over.
The Raiders released Brown on Saturday, ending the latest chapter in a truly bizarre tenure with the team that signed him to a $64 million contract in the off-season.
Brown was released just two days before the Raiders were set to open the season in Denver against the Broncos. The announcement came mere hours after Brown posted a message on his Instagram account on Saturday morning saying he was misunderstood and unappreciated, and wanted to move on. “Release me @Raiders #NOMore,” he wrote.
