For the next two weeks on NBCSN’s Pro Football Talk, we’ll take a historical look at NFL careers of players from specific colleges. The series is dubbed Pro Football U, and the first installment focuses on players from the arch rivals of Alabama and Auburn.
The poll question for Monday is a simple one: Which team of the best Auburn-turned-NFL players and the best Alabama-turned-NFL players would win, in a game played with each player in his NFL prime?
For Alabama, the starting offense (as we project it) would consist of quarterback Bart Starr, running backs Shaun Alexander and Eddie Lacy, receivers Julio Jones and Don Hutson, tight end Ozzie Newsom, and offensive linemen Chris Samuels, Andre Smith, Evan Mathis, Dwight Stephenson, and John Hannah.
