The Super Bowl champion New England Patriots were welcomed to the White House by President Barack Obama on Thursday.
During his address, Obama said the Patriots are as good an organization as there has ever been in pro sports while congratulating the franchise.
In a lighter moment, the President also made a joke about the deflated footballs controversy that engulfed the team in the lead up to the Super Bowl.
"I usually tell a bunch of jokes at these events, but with the Patriots coming to town I was worried 11 of 12 of them would fall flat," said Obama.
