Preseason is a chance to identify and/or address questionable areas. Every organization has issues within their roster. Exhibition games can provide answers. But not always.
The second wave of preseason contests took place Friday. Twenty-two teams met in the first full week of action with varying results and everyone trying to get out of those contests relatively unscathed. Four teams—the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints—took the field for the first time.
Three of the four were looking for answers and found some. The Buccaneers and Cleveland Browns, on the other hand, enter the weekend with significant questions marks at key positions.
