Prep notes: Oregon soccer player Jen Brien commits to Southeast Missouri State

Jen Brien, a junior forward for the Oregon girls soccer team, has committed to play soccer at Southeast Missouri State, an NCAA Division I university in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Brien, who plans to study sports management, said Monday she chose Southeast Missouri because of its strong academics and its athletics. She said she will receive a partial scholarship.

Oregon seniors Kelsey Jahn, the team’s top scorer, and Paityn Fleming will be attending Division 1 programs in the fall. Jahn, forward/midfielder, is a Valparaiso recruit. Fleming, a midfielder, is an Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne recruit.

Jahn plans to study nursing.
