The first round of the NFL draft has come and gone and quarterback Philip Rivers is still a member of the Chargers.
That means attention now turns to the prospect of an extension for the quarterback, whose contract runs out at the end of the season. Rivers said in the past that he wasn’t planning to sign an extension before his contract was up and the prospect of a move to Los Angeles has been a sticking point for Rivers, who will welcome an eighth child to his brood in the near future.
A report this week had the Chargers talking to Rivers’s agent, however, and Rivers sounded like he wasn’t ruling anything out on Friday.
