The Jets are wrapping up their offseason program with this week’s mandatory minicamp, which also marked the first time that defensive end Muhammad Wilkerson has been on the field with the team this year.
Wilkerson is in the final year of his rookie deal and wants a long-term contract with the team, but an agreement has remained out of reach. On Wednesday’s PFT Live, Mike Florio will talk to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News about where things stand and whether a deal is likely. They’ll also discuss quarterback Geno Smith’s work this offseason and the likelihood that he’ll hold onto the starting job into September.
