The Jacksonville Jaguars and linebacker Paul Posluszny agreed on a new one-year contract extension Wednesday, according to Fox Sports 1's Alex Marvez.
Posluszny missed nine games in 2014 due to a torn pectoral muscle.
The 30-year-old veteran made the Pro Bowl in the previous season, though, so Jacksonville bet on him returning to that form this next season and beyond. Posluszny will now be under contract through 2017, per Spotrac.com.
Back in late January, Posluszny told Jaguars.com's John Oehser that he'd be 100 percent and ready to go for the Jags' offseason workout program, and he also weighed in on the team's direction:
You get a sense that all the right pieces are being put in place.
