The New England Patriots have released veteran defensive end Lawrence Guy and veteran safety Adrian Phillips, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Guy, who has been with the Patriots since 2017, had 38 tackles in 2023. Phillips, who joined New England in 2020, had 17 tackles last season.
Guy is entering the final year of a four-year, $11.5 million contract in 2024. While he won't be with the Patriots next season, the 33-year-old should have no problem finding his way onto a roster.
Phillips is entering the final year of a three-year, $12.75 million contract next year, and like Guy, will likely find a new home soon.
