The New England Patriots "had no real interest" in former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz before he was traded to the Indianapolis Colts, according to NFL Network's Mike Giardi.
Wentz reportedly was dealt to the Colts on Thursday in exchange for a package of draft picks, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.
He was the latest domino to fall in the trade market.
The splash move came on the heels of the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Rams shaking up the NFL landscape when the teams agreed to swap quarterbacks Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff, while the Lions also received two first-round picks and a third-rounder in the deal.
