The NFL pushed back the one-point PAT from the two to the 15 in order to make the kick more difficult — and to entice teams to go for two more often.
The Patriots became the first team to go for two under the new rules on Thursday night at Gillette Stadium.
After a 55-yard touchdown run from SNF hero turned forgotten man Jonas Gray, the Patriots put the ball on the right hash mark, with no running back initially behind quarterback Jimmy Garappolo.
Gray, lined wide to the right, came in motion and stopped behind Garappolo.
