Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes discussed what it meant to be part of the first Super Bowl with two Black starting quarterbacks during an interview with Audacy's 610 Sports Radio (Kansas City).
"I am proud," he said (13:24). "We came a long way. As I've gotten into the NFL and learned more and more about the history of the Black quarterback, I'm happy that we're going to be on this stage. It couldn't be against a better guy in Jalen Hurts. … I'm glad that we're going to be able to represent the Black quarterback in the biggest game of them all.
