The Carolina Panthers advanced to the NFC Championship game for the fourth time in franchise history Sunday after holding back a second-half comeback attempt by the Seattle Seahawks for a 31-24 victory.
The Panthers dominated in the first half, jumping out to a 14-0 lead on the first six plays before eventually leading, 31-0, at halftime. The Seahawks, who 24 unanswered points in the second half, attempted to become the first team since the 1992 Buffalo Bills to overcome at least a 30-point halftime deficit in the playoffs.
