Pacman Jones: Slamming Cooper’s head was ‘football play’

Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was fined $35,000 by the NFL for slamming Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper’s head into his own helmet last weekend, but Jones cannot guarantee it will not happen again.

While some feel Jones is fortunate to have avoided a suspension, the 31-year-old said Wednesday that he plans to appeal the fine because he felt the shot on Cooper was a “football play.”

“Yeah, I got fined. 35K. Way too much for a football play,” Jones told Jeremy Rauch of FOX 19 in Cincinnati. “I’ll appeal. I can’t promise it won’t happen again.
