Olympic discus thrower and former NFL player Lawrence Okoye was arrested with 12 other men for soliciting prostitution. The bust took place last Wednesday by the Shelby County Drug Enforcement Task Force in Alabama.
Okoye, 27, plays defensive tackle for the Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football. He was released after posting $1,000 bail on Thursday, but missed the Iron's season-opening win against the Memphis Express on Sunday.
"We've been made aware of it. We are in the process of gathering all the information," Iron head coach Tim Lewis told AL.
