It is said (and generally accepted) that NFL quarterbacks are a team’s most important position. They get the big bucks, they get the girls (as do all other NFL players), and they get a lot of credit for wins and plenty of blame for losses. If you don’t have a decent signal caller, your team might as well communicate plays in Morse Code. As Ron Burgundy might say, quarterbacks are “kind of a big deal.”
But can this notion of supreme importance be overdone? Do they really deserve more of the credit, fame, and money than the rest of the team?
