If Sunday night prime time matchups are meant to showcase the most exciting games in the N.F.L., the league apparently chose poorly in a defensive grudge match between the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals. After the teams struggled to a 3-3 tie at the end of regulation, they matched that in overtime. But in an unbelievable ending, the placekickers for both teams missed short field goal attempts and the game ended in a tie, 6-6.
In an on-field interview after the game, Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner summed things up well.
“It is what it is,” Wagner said.
