The Kansas City Chiefs are hoping Xavier Worthy provides better results than the last time they acquiesced to drafting a player Patrick Mahomes really wanted.
Per ESPN's Jordan Reid, Worthy was the player Mahomes "wanted most" in the 2024 NFL draft.
Kansas City made its superstar quarterback very happy by trading up four spots to get Worthy at No. 28 overall in the first round.
During the 2020 draft, it was revealed that Mahomes told the Chiefs he wanted them to select Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the first round.
Even though Edwards-Helaire had some strong moments with the Chiefs, he was ultimately not the best pick when you consider Tee Higgins, Michael Pittman Jr.
