2023 Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is widely expected to be a top-three pick in Thursday's NFL draft, but he reportedly would have loved the chance to be selected by a team further down the list.
CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones reported that Daniels, who is expected to be the No. 2 pick by the Washington Commanders, has close ties to the Las Vegas Raiders, who own the No. 13 pick.
"The worst-kept secret in the league right now is that Daniels and the Las Vegas Raiders desire one another," Jones stated. "Antonio Pierce was with Daniels at Arizona State, and sources say Pierce would love to have Daniels in Las Vegas.
