The New York Giants knew well in advance they should be looking deeply into this year's quarterback class ahead of the 2025 NFL draft, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
"The Giants' fallback—if it didn't work out with Jones—was always to look for a solution in the draft, multiple sources have told ESPN throughout the year," Raanan reported Friday. "It's hardly a surprise they have heavily scouted at the University of Miami and spent an inordinate amount of time in Boulder and at Colorado games."
Miami and Colorado are the respective homes of quarterbacks Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders respectively.
