Former New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones is reportedly interested in joining a team with playoff aspirations as a free agent.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Jones is projected to have "multiple options but likely will prefer to finish this season on a playoff-contending team."
The signal-caller is also expected to clear waivers on Monday and should sign with a team "sooner rather than later" on a one-year contract, per Schefter.
Jones requested his release from the Giants on Friday after he was benched in favor of backup Tommy DeVito.
