The NFL is set to hold its annual meetings next week in Orlando, and it sounds like changes are coming to the league's trade deadline.
Per ESPN's Mike Reiss, seven teams "have suggested a change to the league's bylaws regarding the trade deadline" with a proposal "to push it back either by one or two weeks." Those seven teams are the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets, Washington Commanders and Detroit Lions.
Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported late last month that those teams were hoping to propose moving the trade deadline from Week 8 to Week 10.
