NFL HOFer Randy Moss Announces Cancer Diagnosis, Says He Underwent Surgery

Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss announced on his Instagram page Friday that he has been living with cancer.

"Your boy is a cancer survivor," Moss said, before sincerely thanking members of his care team.

Moss told his followers that he underwent surgery in Charlotte, North Carolina, and returned home Friday after being in the hospital for six days. He added that he still needs to undergo "some chemo and radiation."

ESPN previously announced on Dec. 6. that Moss, an analyst on ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown, was stepping away due to a "personal health challenge.
