Saints coach Sean Payton said on WWL Radio in New Orleans Monday night he "definitely" plans to be back in 2017 for his 11th season in New Orleans.
"My plan is to definitely to be back here," Payton said, via WWL. "I have four years left on my contract, and I plan on honoring that."
Payton inked a five-year, $40 million extension last offseason, but reports indicating GM Mickey Loomis would listen to trade offers have been prevalent. Payton said earlier Monday on a teleconference that a NOLA.com report stating he and Loomis met to discuss their future was "completely false.
