The AFC South is a mishmash of mediocre and bad teams. But somebody has to win it. Who will it be?
Quite often in the NFL, there is one division that stands out among the rest as particularly awful. Last season, the AFC South and NFC East produced 9-7 division champions. In 2014, the 7-8-1 Panthers won the NFC South, and in 2010, the 7-9 Seahawks won the NFC West. There have been plenty of other division winners that hovered right around .500 when they won their crowns, and this exemplified just how weak their divisions were.
The AFC South is that division this season.
