On Wednesday, Vikings running back Matt Asiata said that the team would keep “trying to work hard” for coach Mike Zimmer after Zimmer’s father Bill died on Tuesday night.
They weren’t able to work hard enough to satisfy Zimmer during Thursday’s final practice of the summer at the team’s training camp home in Mankato, Minnesota. Zimmer stopped practice to make the team run a lap and then unloaded on them after the session came to an end.
“That was a terrible practice,” Zimmer said, via Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press.
