Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine revealed Wednesday that Johnny Manziel’s meeting with the NFL over his latest off-the-field incident could occur as soon as later in the day.
“Yes, there’s a sense of urgency to it, and that meeting is imminent,” Pettine said, via Northeast Ohio Media Group’s Mary Kay Cabot.
Sources have told ESPN that the meeting will in fact occur following Wednesday’s practice with a league representative present.
The NFL is investigating an incident stemming from an Oct. 12 traffic stop that involved a disagreement over the nature of an argument between Manziel and girlfriend Colleen Crowley, who accused the quarterback of pushing her head against the car window during the alleged altercation.
