Defensive lineman Mike DeVito missed almost all of last season because of a torn Achilles tendon, which was a big reason why the Chiefs asked him to take a pay cut in order to remain with the team in 2015.
DeVito agreed to the cut and now believes he will be part of a defense that he believes can be the best one he’s been a part of during his NFL career. That’s high praise from a player who went to two AFC title games as part of a Jets team that advanced behind a snarling defense and DeVito channelled Rex Ryan, his coach with the Jets, when describing what the unit will look like.
