Washington Redskins running back Matt Jones has joined his teammates at minicamp Tuesday after skipping organized team activities.
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported Jones' arrival, adding the third-year standout didn't want to get fined for missing the mandatory camp.
Jones has been holding out due to unhappiness with his role on the team. The 24-year-old only appeared in seven games last season after falling behind Robert Kelley and Chris Thompson on Washington's depth chart.
Mike Jones of the Washington Post reported on May 30 some members of Washington's coaching staff told Jones he's "no longer a part of the team’s plans" and he was waiting to be traded or released.
